New Music – Build 2

Posted in Music by Peter Cline on the April 11th, 2012

Hello, everyone. My name is Peter, I’m a composer for Vitare. Daniel is letting me blog about the new music I’m cooking up for the game!

My goal is to give the Buy music a vibe that makes you feel like spending all your Vitas, whilst the Build music is meant to relax you for a day of plotting out your lot.

So let’s get started. Today I’m going to show you Build2, the latest piece I’ve completed. You may have already heard part of this if you’ve seen the second developer preview.

I hope you enjoyed this piece, and stay tuned, because I’m working on the first music for the game’s Buy Mode. :)

Who and what is Vesendo?

Hi everyone!

Just a small blog post to let you know what Vesendo is, since I have been asked this a few times and seen some people questioning what Vesendo is.

Vesendo is the company name behind Vitare. An example of this would be Mojang, as they are the company behind the game Minecraft. Vesendo is simply our company name, behind the game Vitare.

We are using this as in the future it will allow us to grow and expand – who knows what else we could do? Many old folks who have followed Vitare from the start, may recall this name and also the name “PikLabs”, however we have parted with PikLabs, hence returning to the Vesendo name.

I hope this clears up a few questions! If you want to check out our company website, the website address is: http://www.vesendo.com.

A big thank you to everyone who spent the time to suggest ideas, and vote for the currency name you wanted. The results are in, the official name for the currency in Vitare will be… Vitas!

Thanks to everyone who voted on the blog, and we hope you like the name that the community has chosen for the game. A big thanks to EduardoK, who suggested the name “Vita(s)”.

Do you like the name? Let us know! Do you dislike it – tell us why.

We’ll see you soon with some more updates, and chances for you to be a part of the development, until then – check out the forums and blueprints.

Vitare will have an in-game currency, and player run economy. Since we will have an in-game currency, we require a name for this currency! So guess what? We’re letting you help us decide on a name, and  vote for your favourite! The one that gets voted for the most in the end shall be the in-game currency for Vitare!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post with your idea! We will then pick a few favourites, and let you guys decide on the final one!

We can’t wait to read what you submit.

Today we are announcing the Vitare forum chatroom will be drawn to a close. We’d like to thank everyone who has participated in the forum chatroom to make a fun experience!

Things You Need To Know:

  • You can continue using the forum chatroom until the service is retired.
  • Vitare Support is available to answer any questions if you have any at vitare.net/contact.

Thanks to all of you who participated, and we hope to see you on the forums, blueprints, facebook, twitter, and eventually in the Vitare game – which is coming soon!

Development Update

Posted in Development by Vitare Daniel on the March 4th, 2012

We have been posting a lot on Facebook and Twitter showing off a lot of the progress we have made over the past month or so. Vitare now has better wallplacement, wall textures, floor texture, floor placement and a functional login screen.

Progress is now moving at a more steady pace with the recent addition to our team, Dillon, and we appreciate the hard work himself and Ahmed have been doing to get the client development moving once again! We even have a few pictures for you to take a look at! Here are some pictures in Vitare!
